Hon Nkwonta Speaks On Anambra Central Senatorial Election Rerun & Ohamadike's Candidacy
OHAMADIKE HOUR ON ODENIGBO 99.1FM WED 6TH JANUARY 2016.
Guest: Hon Chinedu Nkwonta, State Publicity Secretary of APGA Anambra state.Anchor: Tony Olisa Mbeki
The state publicity Secretary of APGA Anambra state has cleared that Ohamadike did not take money from anyone as the National Chairman of the party thereby debunking all rumors spreading around that Ohamadike is greedy.
He stated that Ohamadike remains the man we can work with in developing our senatorial district.
He said "With Ohamadike in the Senate, we have a voice that will speak for Anambra Central and Ndigbo at large". He also made cleared that Chief Sir Victor Umeh's mission to the Senate Chamber will also help the state governor, Chief Dr Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano to accomplish and achieve success for Anambra state.
He further said that God's will is already manifesting in Anambra Central senatorial district with the cancelation of the election which Iyom Uche Ekwunife took to the Senate. "we need to send Ohamadike to the National Assembly so that we'll have a formidable voice in the Federal level" he added.
He commended Senator Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige for his action in withdrawing from the race stressing that the job is made lot easier for Ohamadike with Ngige's support.
He debunked that APGA is a "one state party" APGA is a national party. He also reiterated that with the driving formula of the party's BoT Chairman and Leader, Chief Dr Willie Obiano, the party will not only take over all the senatorial zones in South East but the whole governorship positions in the zone and beyond.
"With Ohamadike in the Senate, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu would gain a reliable support and his burden will be lessened in defense of the South Eastern Nigeria"
Caller Ndubuisi from Onitsha said Gov Willie Obiano allegedly ordered the security operatives to arrest the IPOB members and accused the government of cancelling the Okada ban for political interests.
- Response the guest debunked the claims as false. He said the restated routes were made possible for the interest of the people and not for the governor. On the issue of IPOB, he said the governor who is the Chief Security officer of Anambra state has constitutional rights to maintain peace and order in Anambra state. The governor never demanded for the arrest of any law abiding individual but he is bound to use every lawful means to ensure the peace and stability in the state is not hijacked.
Another caller..... Commended the guest and urged Ndi Igbo to join APGA which is the party for the interest of the masses.
Hon Dike called in and lamented that the Members of the Nigerian Army are "molesting" the people under the bridge in Onitsha. He also alleged that the issue of 75 billion naira left by the former Governor of the state, Chief Sir Peter Obi needs more clarification.
-Response: the guest made clear that the issue of 75 billion naira has been addressed by the current government and it has nothing to do with Chief Sir Victor Umeh's election. Ohamadike was never a governor but APGA National Chairman so he does not have anything to do with financial transactions between the former and the current Anambra state governors. He said issue of the military molesting innocent people in Onitsha will be investigated and also assured that if Ohamadike is voted to the Senate he'll use a loud voice and his statemanship to end such operations within and outside the state.
Chief Sir Victor Umeh (Ohamadike Ndigbo) is the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the upcoming rerun election in Anambra Central Senatorial District. He is a strong advocate for equity and true federalism. He believes that Ndi Igbo are yet to receive a fair share in the Nigerian structure and that was exemplified in his actions in the National conference thus seeks to be voted into the higher chamber of the Senate where he'll be more effective in achieving his visions for the common man.
The Ohamadike Hour comes up every Wednesday by 11am on Odenigbo 99.1fm. Do enjoy it!
